Once upon a time, there was a new dad who was eager to prove to his wife that he was capable of taking care of their newborn. So, when it was time to change the baby’s diaper, he confidently declared, “I’ve got this!”
He unwrapped the diaper and noticed that there was a lot more…stuff…than he expected. He tried his best to clean the baby up and get a fresh diaper on, but no matter how hard he tried, he just couldn’t seem to get it right. The diaper kept slipping off, or the tabs wouldn’t stick, or he’d get the baby’s legs tangled up.
Finally, after what felt like hours of struggle, the baby was clean and dry with a fresh diaper on. The Dad was so relieved that he let out a big sigh and said, “I never knew something so small could be so challenging!” as he picked up and cuddled his pride and joy close to his chest.
Just then, the baby let out a huge fart, startling the Dad.
He looked down and realized that he had failed one final test – the diaper had exploded in just the right spot to ruin his shirt.
The Dad couldn’t help but laugh at himself as he stripped off his shirt and used it to clean up the mess. From that moment on, he learned that parenting is equal parts hilarious and rewarding, and he was grateful for every opportunity to learn and grow as a dad.
